Before any Pet Life Unlimited product goes into your home, it's been informed, shaped and tested by dog parents. This is our PetParent Lab™. And it’s how we deliver on our mission to make solutions that help you feel like a damn good dog parent.
It’s not our seal of approval. It’s yours.
Every one of our products has to earn its “Dog Parent Approved” seal. Our process begins with in-depth conversations and surveys with dog parents about their struggles and dreams. And it ends with rigorous testing in their own homes with their own dogs. When we say we couldn’t do it without them, we really mean it.

We listen
We listen to what dog parents are missing, wanting and struggling with when the nitty gritty of dog care gets real. We conduct surveys, live interviews, and collaborate with our community of dog parents to make sure we hear the loud (and silent!) needs of dog parents across the country.

We engineer
As we develop and engineer our products, they go through rigorous testing in labs. Along the way, we also check in with dog parents and other external advisors like veterinarians, trainers & groomers.

We test
We consult with dog parents about the product ideas and solutions they inspired before we start our development process. Along the way we improve and tweak and discard and improve making sure that everything that we develop has dog parents fingerprints on it before it becomes real.

We improve
Dog parents and their dogs test our product for themselves. Using objective third parties we give our products to dog parents (hiding our logo to prevent bias!) to use in their own homes with their own dogs. They report back on their experience by answering questions that eventually we share with you and help us create better and better products!

The birth of our Overnight Dog Pad
Many dog parents told us they were using regular pads for their dogs overnight, but woke up worried about leakage. So why not create a pad with extra, all-night-long absorbency? Oh, and a calming fragrance and a nighttime design! We then had dog parents test them in their own homes and 3 out of 4 dog parents say they wouldn’t go back to using a regular pad at night!
Redefining flea + tick protection
Dog parents told us flea & tick products have to be effective, but they were concerned about protecting their dog’s skin. So we formulated our Flea & Tick products to protect skin nourishing glycerin, and we balanced our essential oil levels to help prevent irritation while still protecting against pests. (A decision dog parents seem to love!).
