Health Check Diaper Liners

If your dog needs a diaper, you're already got enough on your mind. Add our liner and you’ll get extra absorbency and daily peace of mind about their urinary health.

This liner does double duty:  its ultra-thin material absorbs completely while it measures your dog's urine pH for potential health issues. When the pH is off—a possible early sign of UTIs, bladder infections, kidney issues, or other urinary health problems—the liner turns purple. No color change? All good.

For dogs who need diapers, and especially for dogs already dealing with incontinence or mobility challenges, this health-monitoring, ultra-absorbent liner tells you what your dog can't.

What makes our liner one-of-a-kind

Patent-pending pH detection technology
Our patent-pending technology measures the pH of your dog's urine. When urine pH is off, the linerspot turns purple—a clear sign to pay attention (could be a UTI or other issue). No color change means all is good. It's a simple way to stay on top of your dog's health between vet visits.

One of the most absorbent liners on the market
This highly absorbent liner pulls moisture in and traps it there so you have increased peace of mind and less stress about rushing to change their diaper.

Tested by dog parents through our PetParent Lab
Before any Pet Life Unlimited product finds its way to the shelf, it's tested and verified by dog parents in their own homes. They give us the valuable feedback we need to tweak and improve.

Understanding urine pH and your dog's health

What is urine pH and why does it matter?
Urine pH measures how acidic or alkaline your dog's pee is on a scale from 0 to 14. For dogs, a healthy pH range is typically between 6.5 and 7.0. When your dog's urine pH goes outside this range, it can signal potential health issues like urinary tract infections or other health issues before you see any symptoms.

How our color-changing technology works
Our patent-pending indicator reacts to the pH level in your dog's urine. When pH is outside the healthy range, the liner spot turns purple and stays for a few hours. The purple color is your cue to monitor closely and consult your vet if it persists. No purple means your dog's pH is in the healthy zone.

Who benefits most from health-monitoring liners
Health Check Diaper Liners are especially valuable for senior dogs (more prone to urinary issues), dogs with mobility challenges or incontinence, female dogs in heat or post-surgery recovery, dogs on medications that can affect kidney function, and any dog parent who uses diapers or wraps regularly and wants that extra peace of mind.

How to use

Our Health Check Diaper Liners come in one size that fits most diapers and wraps. Pro tip: Stick two liners next to each other for extra coverage.

Green side of liner goes up.
Place the liner in your dog's diaper or wrap with the green side facing up against your dog's body. The green side is where the magic happens.

Let your pup pee and check the pee spot.
After your dog pees, check the wet spot on the liner. No rush—the color lasts for hours, so you can check when you change the diaper.

No purple? That's healthy pee!
If you don't see any color change, that means your dog's urine pH is in the healthy range. Both you and your pup are good to go.

Purple spot?
If the pee spot turns purple, their urine pH might be off. Keep monitoring for a day or two. If it stays purple, consult your vet. This could indicate a UTI or other issue that needs attention.

Replace as needed.
Change the liner with each diaper change or when saturated.

FAQ

How do Health Check Diaper Liners detect health issues?
Our liners use patent-pending color-changing technology that measures the pH of your dog's urine. When your dog pees in their diaper, if the liner spot turns purple, pay attention—this could indicate a UTI or other urinary health issue. No color change means all good. Dogs can have urinary issues before symptoms start, which is why early detection matters—especially for dogs already dealing with incontinence or age-related challenges.

How absorbent are Health Check Diaper Liners?
Despite the ultra-thin design, these liners are highly absorbent and fully leak-proof. Plus, the ultra-thin liner means your dog stays comfortable while you get maximum absorption and health monitoring.

What does it mean if the liner turns purple?
A purple color change means your dog's urine pH is off, due to a UTI or other issue. Keep testing for a day or two, and if the purple persists, consult your vet. Our liners are designed to give you more insight into changes in your dog's urine pH, but they're not meant to be a substitute for a vet's medical diagnosis.

How quickly does the color change appear?
The color change appears within seconds after your dog pees. The color lasts for hours, so you don't need to rush; check when you change the diaper.

What if the liner doesn't turn purple?
No color change means all good! Your dog's urine pH is in the healthy range.

What size are the liners and will they fit my dog's diaper?
Health Check Diaper Liners are one size (6" x 3.3") designed to fit most diapers and wraps. For extra coverage, you can adhere two liners next to each other. The universal size makes it easy to use with whatever diaper or wrap system works best for your dog.

Can I use these liners without a diaper?
These liners are specifically designed to be used inside diapers or wraps—they're not meant to be used on their own. If you're looking for standalone health monitoring, check out our Health Check Dog Pads.

How often should I change the liner?
Change the liner with each diaper change or when it's saturated. Since you're already changing your dog's diaper regularly, checking for the purple indicator becomes part of your normal routine.

Are these good for female dogs in heat?
Absolutely! Health Check Diaper Liners are perfect for female dogs in heat. You get the absorbency you need plus the peace of mind that comes from monitoring their urinary health during a time when they might be more prone to infections.

Why would I need health-monitoring liners if my dog already sees the vet regularly?
If your dog needs diapers, they're likely dealing with age-related issues, mobility challenges, or other health issues—situations where urinary health issues are more common. The liners help you catch problems between vet visits before symptoms become obvious. Early detection means easier, less expensive treatment and less discomfort for your dog.
